OF MICE AND MEN PART 1

1) I think lennie is dependent on george because he is a very simple person. he is kind of the stereo-typed, big, lovable, not too bright and hard working guy, who i think may be slight be mentally challenged, or kind of slow. From the 10 pages we've read so far, i already know that lennie has a big heart, and he doesn't mean the things he does, like killing small mice, or forgetting most of the important things george tells him.

2) i think this quote means that george and lennie probably grew up together, and that they have a strong bond, so close they could even be brothers. george also seems to be very impatient with george, and that could either be from growing up together and getting used to arguing over the years, or it could be george's new found impatience because lennie did something wrong, and got them kicked out of their town, and turned them into fugitives.
